Frankie's Place - unbuilt

A new hillside single family retreat in June Lake, CA. The client goal for this view heavy site was to provide a large family gathering space with attention paid to easily supervised child friendly spaces.

The hillside was utilized to provide a level of thermal massing and the main house living level is split in multiple floor elevations to assist in transitioning up the hillside site. Large overhangs were desired to help keep the house cooler in the summer and to protect the exterior materials from the harsh alpine sun.
