Alpine House

In the big winter of 2022-23, the existing house on this site was destroyed by an avalanche, luckily when no one was at home.

As the building was totalled, a new single family residence with some very specific program was needed to replace the cherished mountain home of the client. The old home housed many guest uses, vacations, summer and winter getaways for friends, Boy Scout troops events and fishing expeditions, it also had many ADA needs for family members of the owners.

The new house was relocated and oriented on the site to provide the best survivability in the inevitability of another snow event.

The home has six guest rooms, a primary bedroom, a recreation room on the first floor, a large open kitchen and living / dining room with amazing views of the surrounding mountain The home is ADA compliant and includes an elevator for ease of access.
