MEREDITH FROLIO
Owner/Designer/Project Manager
I'm a lover of the outdoors , design and how the two intermingle. I spend my non-work time fishing, hiking, snowboarding, biking and swimming my way through the beautiful eastern Sierra. I am a creative and a collaborator and enjoy working closely with clients to bring their needs and dreams to life.
After earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas, this Colorado girl worked as a wildland firefighter before hanging up her Nomex to become a carpenter in Seattle, WA. I never wanted to be an architect that didn't understand how to build so I went into residential construction to get the feel for building. What was intended to be a few year stint became a 27 year career, spanning from laborer to foreman to superintendent and finally senior project manager for general contractors in both the Seattle and Los Angeles metro areas. I have decades of experience in residential planning, budgeting, and managing building projects from bathroom remodels, to home additions, to new houses to celebrity compounds and the first residential Imax theater to be put on line in the world. I've been unbelievably grateful to have worked with a host of extremely talented and creative designers as well as world famous architects.
Due to my background in architecture and numerous collaborations with designers/architects, it was a natural fit for me to start the Design/Build program for my former employer in Los Angeles. I developed and ran that program for a number of years before moving to the Owens Valley.
Seeing a need for more thoughtful and environment responsive design in the eastern Sierra, I began operating here in 2019 with a number of projects now going into construction.
I'm delighted to have the opportunity to live in such an inspiring place and look forward to working with like minded clients who value all the eastern Sierra holds.
